I’m wondering how much bigger the moon is going to get tomorrow… what with the carnival and everything.
*In case you were wondering, this is a reference to the N64 computer game Majora’s Mask, a hauntingly menacing game, given the target age range, where you play a little fairy boy running around a town full of people who are first irritated, then terrified as a Moon with a grotesque human face comes closer and closer towards the Earth.

The pic above was taken earlier today at Nymans Gardens in Handcross. I’ve never been there before but it was a beautiful place – crocuses, daffodils, lots of jackdaws quacking restlessly in the windy boughs. Now that Leonardslee gardens in Lower Beeding “has been sold to an international businessman”, it’s the closest ornamental garden to my house. And I do so love an ornamental garden. Preferably with a dovecote.
